If you're looking for a premium food processor, this KitchenAid model is definitely worth investigating. A well-designed powerhouse designed to become any cook's chief assistant, it measures 14 inches tall and 7-1/2 inches wide, with a clear plastic 11-cup work bowl and a bonus mini bowl, two premium-quality blades, and three discs: a reversible thin slicer/shredder, a medium slicer, and a medium shredder. It also comes with a spatula/cleaning tool and a useful plastic storage case for the blades and discs. Thoughtful features include a quick-lock lid and an easy-to-use feed tube, plus lots of easy-cleaning aspects, such as a sealed housing, a smooth control panel, and a work bowl that completely disassembles. All parts except the base are dishwasher-safe.

The Kitchenaid is much more strongly built, has a sealed surface that wipes clean and comes with this really cool "mini-bowl" for small jobs that we use quite often for things like chopping herbs. The blades are also made by the company that USED TO make great blades for the original Cuisinarts.We were told that Cuisinart sold their product to another company a few years ago when they had financial trouble, and they now use an inferior blade and a cheaper housing. Visual inspection seemed to confirm this to us. The plastic housing on the "C" was also pretty flexy and riddled with cracks and crevices that would never be easy to clean. It really feels cheap next to the Kitchenaid. When in use, the Kitchenaid is really powerful, very stable and quiet.
