Of course, I came from having a blender that had a 2-cup processor attachment. I love that its a 9-cup and comes with a smaller 5-cup blender. I never blend huge amounts, but I use my food processor all the time to make things like hummus and sauces. It makes sense to have a bigger food processor. I've made pizza sauces, dumpling filling, and even soup. Its not the quietest in the world, but hey, I don't expect to be quiet when I'm processing food for less than a minute. The 9 cup capacity is the food processor and the blender combine. The food processor holds 4 cups so I have to work in batches. Over all the food processor works great, I have been using it to do mass food prep and purees without any problems. The blender on the other hand, not so good. 6 of 6 people found the following review helpful Delivers as advertised!, October 1, 2012 This review is from: DeLonghi 9-Cup Capacity Food Processor with Integrated Blender (Kitchen) I use my Dehonghi food processor [DFP] just about every day as I prepare 6-10 meals weekly for my extended family. The DFP is fabulous for homemade chips - sweet potato and squashes included. It makes quick work of sauces, salsas and anything in between. I puree a lot of veggies and slip into meat sauces and meat loaves - which my picky eaters do not notice. The blender gets used only 3-4 times a week but it works great for smoothies, slushes, shakes and anything that just needs a bit of swirling. No one feels guilty about requesting a special treat as the DeLonghi blender is such a breeze to use and clean up afterward. I highly recommend this combo to anyone who is interested in full size products without sacrificing counter or storage space.
