This food processor is very heavy, indicating to me that this is large motor inside and should last a very long time. The bowl cleans easliy. Overall seems to be a good product, to do over I would not buy this product again. The reason is the housing around the inside shaft in the bowl that holds the cutting blades is only about 1 inch high. When processing tomatoes I could only chop about 4 medium tomatoes. In other food processors this housing can be 2 to 3 inches high inside and can handle more liquids without pouring out the bottom. The price is about 1/2 the price of other processors in the 9 cup range was the reason I bought it. It is very quiet, and appears to be very strong. It has handled everything we've tried with ease. The base is heavy and doesn't skate around while running. From what I've gathered, it's pretty much the same processor as the $136 one minus the mini-bowl. I used the shredding tool the other nite to make hashbrowns, and it worked flawlessly. Today, I plan to make a green salsa with it. Such a nice kitchen gadget to have! Also, I find it the perfect size for my family of 3.
